# [[about me]]
Hi Currierites! I'm Alex Dàzhēn Cai. I lived in Tuchman and Gilbert while I did my AB/SM in CS/Stat/Applied Math (i.e. machine learning) with a secondary (not citation) in German Studies. I'm back at Harvard for a PhD at the Kempner Institute, supervised by Professor Kianté Brantley, investigating how humans and machines learn languages through interaction.
My name, 大真, translates variously to authenticity, earnestness, sincerity, truth -- virtues I strive to foster in myself and others. How is your soul? Are you living authentically? Whether or not you adhere to any particular religion, it's important to take care of your spiritual health; I'm here to listen if you're wrestling with identity, whatever it means to you. You aren't ever alone! You're encouraged to ask about my own (ongoing) journey or any of the topics above and below.
